One of the tasks of the summer’s pruning is shoot trimming, which is performed during June and July.

At Ktima Kir-Yianni this task is performed depending the variety and the plot, 10 days after the end of flowering, in order to achieve the balance between productivity and the vitality of the vines.

By shoot trimming, we remove the bud in each shoot so as its dominance is gone and all the nutrients are now driven to the grapes.
