International Critical Acclaim All Around for Kir-Yianni Estate in 2021

Kir-Yianni again captured an array of coveted awards including gold medals for its wines across styles and grape varieties at some of the most prestigious international wine evaluation competitions this year.

The Estate’s Naoussa 2017 won a gold medal at the influential Sommeliers Choice Awards in San Francisco with a high score of 93 points. Another gold medal was bestowed on L’Esprit du Lac that distinguished itself in a heavily contested field of thousands of rosé wines at the Rosé Selection Competition of the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles.

Kir-Yianni also had a great run at the Decanter World Wine Awards in London, probably the world’s largest wine competition with unrivalled global reach, where a total of five wine labels amassed an award. Silver medals were awarded to Ramnista 2017, Naoussa 2017, Diaporos 2016 and Assyrtiko 2019 while Droumo 2019 won a Bronze.

More good news from the UK followed as the Estate went on to capture another six medals at the International Wine & Spirits Awards. The three silver medals went to the wines Diaporos 2017 (91 points), Ble Alepou 2018 (90 points) and Ramnista 2017 (90 points) and the three Bronzes were confered upon to Ble Tracter White 2020, Assyrtiko 2019 and Xinomavro 2017.

Finally, in the US at the TEXSOM International Wine Awards, Kir-Yianni Estate was the recipient of three more honours, with Ramnista 2017 and L’Esprit du Lac receiving silver medals and Cuvée Villages 2017 a well-deserved bronze.
