Recognised as the top Greek entry of the competition, DIAPOROS 2020 once again demonstrated its exceptional quality and consistency, following the MASTER MEDAL at the DRINKS BUSINESS 2026 and the GOLD MEDAL at the MUNDUS VINI 2026.

“Elegant nose with ripe aromas of strawberry, cherry and raspberry. On the palate, the tannins are round, coated and superb”. That was the tasting note from the MDB panel of judges for our DIAPOROS 2020, a wine with a mission to introduce Xinomavro on its key appellation -Naoussa- to wine enthusiasts worldwide.

DIAPOROS is a visionary exploration of Xinomavro finesse, based on selected vines from one of the highest quality blocks at KIR-YIANNI Estate’s vineyard in Naoussa. Block #5 stands out for its morphology and location -steep slope while reaching points of the highest altitude (230-240 meters) of the Estate- and produces Xinomavros of top quality. The splash of Syrah comes from the older vines of the variety grown on the vineyard, again displaying remarkable quality features.

DIAPOROS 2020 reflects Kir-Yianni’s philosophy centred on meticulous vineyard work and uncompromising quality. A wine that combines structure with elegance and ageing potential with balance, it continues to demonstrate why it remains one of the benchmark wines of modern Greek Wine.
