Two top-notch distinctions won by AGATHOTO Single Vineyard 2021 on the first day of Spring, marking a sensational debut in international wine competitions.
On its first vintage, the first KIR-YIANNI rosé wine from Naoussa Xinomavro, grown on the small vineyard in Gastra, succeeded in standing out and scoring higher than just… gold. In particular, it won:
- The title of “BEST OF SHOW GREECE ROSÉ” at Mundus Vini Spring Tasting 2023 and
- “GRAND GOLD MEDAL” at Concours Mondial De Bruxelles Rosé Session 2023
It must be pinpointed that in the case of the Rosé Session of Concours Mondial, AGATHOTO Single Vineyard 2021 competed against 1,200 labels from 25 countries, winning one of the just 15 “Grand Gold Medals” attributed in total, doing an amazing job in representing Greek rosé wines all over the globe!
Both special prizes were awarded on 20 March 2023 (Spring Equinox day) during Prowein, the #1 trade fair of wines and spirits worldwide.
Congratulations to our amazing team of agriculturists and oenologists. Thanks to their commitment, know-how and hard word they have managed to offer a sneak peek in the future of our small vineyard at Gastra: acquired by KIR-YIANNI in 2012, it has been ever since an inspiring work in progress of experimentation, research and development aimed at producing top quality wines from yet another singular sub-terroir of Naoussa.
