Nothing defines full moon nights as much as open-air events, like movie screenings and theatre performances. This summer, at Ktima Kir-Yianni we celebrated two of these special evenings with open invitations to our estate at Gianakohori Naoussa, and our friends responded with enthuse.
We organized an outdoor film screening – “therino cinema”, as we say in Greek – and an exceptional shadow theatre performance with our traditional favorite hero “Karagiozis” on the role of “The Vintager”.
Those who visited Ktima Kir-Yianni on the 17th of July 2019, toured the Estate and had the opportunity, prior to the screening to try out four of our wines, the white Blue Tractor, the rose Akakies, the Paranga Sparkling, and the red Ktima Kir-Yianni. Our guest relaxed on pillows or chairs we prepared for them and after sipping on from their glasses, they enjoyed the movie “A Good Year” by Ridley Scott. It was a good night for a good year!
In the coming weeks, we decided to repeat a full moon gathering. So, just two nights before starting this year’s vintage we invited Christos Stanisis, one of the most experienced artists in the Shadow Theater to present our beloved Karagiozis in a brand-new wine related role; and so, he did. Children and parents, young and seniors alike, enjoyed a wonderful show with live music and a great repertoire of vintage and wine songs, on September 14, 2019.
Surrounded by the grapevines with the clear full moon night sky above our heads and the big screen in front of us, life seemed as it is or should always be, simple and magic!
