Their gold performance at 2025 MUNDUS VINI and THESSALONIKI WINE & SPIRITS TROPHY comes as no surprise; Both wines offer an outstanding introduction to Assyrtiko and Xinomavro -undoubtedly two of the most world renowned native grapes- as grown on two exceptionally distinctive terroirs of Northern Greece – Amyndeon and Naoussa respectively.
The famous Assyrtiko thrives in the plateau of Amyndeon in Florina, a breathtaking location starting from 600 meters altitude with poor sandy soils. At the cooler viticulture region of Greece, the mixture of natural elements combining 4 lakes and several mountain ranges shape a unique topography and nest an incredible biodiversity, part of the EU NATURA 2000 network of protected sites. ASSYRTIKO THE NORTH is all about a high altitude expression of Assyrtiko that brings together qualities such as purity of fruit, vibrant acidity, elegance and terroir-sensitive varietal character.
Equally fascinating is the mission of our NAOUSSA CUVÉE VILLAGES: a wine enthusiast’s prelude to Xinomavro at its key appellation Naoussa. At that verdant scenery surrounded by mountains, Xinomavro shows a remarkable affinity to the diversification met across the villages of the region. The intriguing mosaic of altitudes, slopes, soils and meso-climates is beautifully portrayed by KIR-YIANNI wine offering a fruit-forward, full-bodied pour that keeps revealing layers of aromas and flavors in our glass.
