On the contrary, it wraps up a phenomenal year for the wine in question. Following the 2 golds earlier this year at Mundus Vini Spring Tasting and Thessaloniki  Wine & Spirits Competition, our NAOUSSA showcases once more its undisputed consistency in high quality and typicity, hitting the higher score for a 100% Xinomavro at the Competition held in London.

“Classic redcurrant fruit decorated with myriad floral and herbal notes: roses, lilies and dried thyme. Fine-grained and supple with bags of underlying freshness and purity“. That was the tasting note from the DWWA Panel of Judges for our NAOUSSA Cuvée Villages 2022, a wine with a mission to introduce Xinomavro on its key appellation -Naoussa- to wine enthusiasts worldwide.

As stated on the label (Cuvée Villages), this is an inspiring tribute to a region standing out for its diversification from village to village, a mosaic of sub-terroirs that cherishes a long tradition inherent in Ktima Kir-Yianni’s storied history, vision and  philosophy. Each year we keep selecting the best parcels -mostly with young Xinomavro vines- from our privately owned vineyard, as well as from a handful of local vine growers, to produce  our NAOUSSA presenting a more modernish take yet staying true the the varietal  typicity and backbone. Indeed, a sought-after wine for the wine enthusiast and the trade.

Mindful from vine to glass following Ktima Kir-Yianni’s dedication in sustainable growth, NAOUSSA Cuvée Villages comes in light weight bottles of 395 gr (70% recycled glass).
