November 13: European Day of Wine Tourism

08.11.2016

The European Day of Wine Tourism was established in 2009  by the European Network of Wine Cities (RECEVIN)  and is celebrated every second Sunday of November in each partner city belonging to the network.

The wineries–members of the wine producers’ association “Wines of North Greece”  have been participating in the European Day of Wine Tourism since 2013, introducing Greece as one of the European wine tourism destinations. Kir-Yianni,  a proud member of the association, is celebrating this day together with hundreds of other wineries in Europe.

On Sunday, November 13,  visitors will have the opportunity to walk around the vineyards of Naoussa, make a tour of the winery, participate to the wine tastings and meet the people of the winery.

Especially for this day, a special event has been scheduled that will combine Xinomavro with Greek traditional cuisine, a culinary journey following the Pontian, Vlachian and Macedonian culture. Kir-Yianni winery in Yiannakohori-Naoussa will be open 11:00am-5:00pm, the event starts at 12:30pm.
